Stays. - A stay for casement windows &c. is provided with a notched bar A passing through a swivelling guide D and adapted to be locked in position by a key H sliding transversely through t h e guide D and formed with a central gap J which, when alined with the guide aperture, releases the bar. The bar is pivoted to a projecting bracket tongue B' which is notched to allow the casement to be secured in the closed position.
