Abstract

22,695. Scott, A. A. Aug. 14. Mud-guards.-A detachable front mud-guard extension and number-plate c for motor-cycles, which may be illuminated by the head-lights, consists of a channelled piece c, adapted to be secured to the fixed part b of the mud-guard. A box-joint may be employed, in which a strip d, attached to one of the parts b, c, is arranged to grip a strip a on the other part of the mudguard. A lug l secures the fixed part of the mud-guard to the front fork, and a spring inside the front end of the detachable mud-guard and number-plate is adapted to engage a spring- stay which tends to keep the joint in the parts of the mud-guard close together.
