Abstract

506,494. Cycle &c. mudguards. HUPPI, R. Dec. 12, 1938, No. 36153. [Class 136 (i)] A cycle &c. mudguard 1 formed of rubber is provided with a thickened central portion presenting a flattened exterior surface and having embedded therein a reinforcement consisting of a steel strip 2, which extends over approximately the whole width of the thickened portion and runs parallel to the flattened exterior surface. The attachment screws for the mudguard pass through perforations in the rubber and in the strip 2, those in the rubber being of smaller size than those in the strip, so that the latter is scaled in an airtight and watertight manner from the outside.
