Abstract

21,173. Lowenstein, G. Sept. 25. Spectacles.-A lens mounting comprises two plates 7, 13 secured to a lens by a screw 18 through holes 12, 13<a>, the other ends of the plates being connected by a grooved lug on plate 13 fitting into a corresponding channel in lugs 10 on the plate 7; the distance between the plates is thus adjustable for varying thicknesses of lenses. A stud 19 secured to the bridge 30 of the eyeglasses &c., is formed with a lip 22 having an aperture engaging a hook 16 on the plate 13 and a spring plate 26, which can be sprung over a hook 8 on the plate 7. The stud 19 carries strips 20 engaging the lens edge.
