2663. Richardson, S. Feb. 4. Spectacles and eyeglasses.-For attaching the lenses of rimless eyeglasses and spectacles to the frames, a screw tapered down at the end to a long point is used. This screw overcomes the difficulty that is experienced in getting the point of the ordinary screw to coincide with the opposite screw-hole of the mounting, owing to the liability of the lens to carry the screw out of alinement.
