10,241. Brinkhaus, H. July 14. Eyeglasses of the rigid-bridge type, having plaquet arms provided with finger-grips, are constructed with a single spring to control both arms. The rigid bridge p, Fig. 2, is provided with lens-carrying ends f, and plaquet arms c having finger-grips e are pivoted to the bridge at h. The plaquets bare preferably made in one with a C-shaped spring a which lies in front of the bridge p, and the plaquet arms c have downward extensions which are joined to the plaquets b. The plaquets on the lenses may thus be separately adjusted. In the form shown in Fig. 5, the plaquet arms c are mounted at the lenscarrying ends f of the bridge-piece. In this case, the lenses cannot be adjusted without moving the plaquets at the same time.
