Lighting burners by frictional devices. - An igniting-device for lamps, of the kind in which ignition is effected by the manual withdrawal against the action of a spring of a friction body which, when released, co-operates with a pyrophoric body, comprises a rough-surfaced member d, Fig. 2, pivoted and attached at one part to a spring f and at another part to a manual device g. The pyrophoric body i is spring-pressed. As shown in Fig. 3, the rough-surfaced member l may be pivoted to a double-armed lever o connected to a spring p.
