Abstract

17,005. Perry, W. P. June 6. Current motors.-A wind engine comprises two sets of vanes a, b mounted upon concentric vertical shafts c, d. The action of the wind on the two sets of vanes causes them to rotate in opposite directions. Power may be taken off the two shafts separately, or they may be geared together, as shown, by gear-wheels e, f, g and the total power transmitted through a single pulley h. The invention is stated to be particularly useful for driving an electric storage installation as described in Specification 17,006/11, [Class 38 (iv), Electric supply and transmission systems &c.].
