Incandescent gas burners ; burners, attaching and mounting.-In inverted incandescent gas lamps, the burner is loosely mounted, as by depending projections q, upon a supporting ring or frame, as a flange p or tongues, or ledges on the globe-holder, which is detachably mounted, as by the bow-piece f and collar g resting on the shoulder c on the gas-nipple a. The shoulder c is of heat-insulating material, such as fibre. There is thus no mechanical connexion between the burner and the gas-injector, and the complete burner including globe-holder may be lifted off the gas injector, and the body of the burner may readily be removed from the globe-holder. The funnel-shaped upper part k of the burner tube may be screwed into the body of the burner in order that the part k may be adjusted relatively to the nipple. In a modification, the burner body u, Fig. 10, is formed with a shoulder resting on a flange v on the globe-holder, and a gauze diaphragm to which a cup 2 is attached is placed in the burner tube.
