Fig. 1 shows saw blades f fixed in a frame e, which is reciprocated by crank disks i and connecting-rods h in guides c, c' inclined to the work g. Fig. 3 shows a band saw a carried on guide pulleys b at an angle to the work c. In some cases the saws may be arranged vertically and the work be fed to the saws at an angle.
