Abstract
10,080. Chamberlain & Hookham, and Holden, S. H. April 26. Mercury motor meters; counter independent of direction of rotation.-Currents in either direction are registered on a single counter by means of a ratchet-wheel K and a pawl L operated by a crank or the like from the meter spindle. A stationary pawl L<1> prevents reverse motion. As shown, an arbor I geared to the spindle C has a disk J with crank-pin J' connected by a rod N to a lever M carrying the pawl L. Such meters may be used on tramcars. Specification 14,511/05 is referred to.
