10,044. Mackenzie, J. W., [American Transmitter and Manufacturing Co.]. April 25. Centrifugal governors. - A governor for a telegraph transmitter comprises arms 202 carrying weights 203 pivoted on pins 196 in the governor shaft 192. A sleeve 194 which rotates with, but can slide along, the shaft 192, is provided at one end with a disk 200 and at the other with wings 199 which rest against pins 204 on the arms 202, and is held against the arms by a spring 206. The stop-pin 208 can be moved to limit the travel of the disk 200 at any point by means of the cam 218, turned by means of the knob 214, a pointer and scale being provided to show the setting of the governor.
