Abstract

9734. Cohrs, H. April 21. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Ferrules or tips.-In order to prevent noise and obviate injury to the floor or carpet, the legs of chairs &c. are provided with rubber feet or pads having plugs which fit into smooth bores in the legs, projections on the plugs retaining the pads in position. Fig. 1 shows the plug a of a pad b formed with a helical groove c, Fig. 2 with grooves d of comparatively steep inclination, and Fig. 4 with annular projections f. In the form shown in Fig. 2, the grooves d are provided with edge portions which project slightly beyond the periphery of the plug; the edges of the grooves c, Fig. 1, may similarly project.
