Be it known that I, LAURENCE M. OAKLEY, a citizen of the United States, residing at Trenton, in the county of Mercer and State of New Jersey, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for a Shoe Heel of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof.
In the drawings, Fig. 1 is a bottom plan of a shoe heel showing my new design, and
ig, 2 is a section on the line 22 of Fig. 1. The tread surface of the heel is divided by a narrow raised strip of rubber into two distinct surface portions of contracting appearance, one of which is unornainented except as described below, and the other of which is ornamented with an interlacing network of ridges. Surrounding the nail receiving holes, which are arranged in the usual manner around the periphery of the heel, in ornamented and unornalnented surfaces alike, are polygonal studs, each having a cup-shaped depression in which the hole is centrally located.
