Abstract

5883. Hunermann, O., and Hartung, A. March 8. Power-generating-systems; vapour engines.- In a power plant employing sulphur dioxide or like vapour, the motive fluid passes from a generator A, through a chamber C, to the motor E, and thence back to the generator, means being provided for regulating the return of the fluid controlled by the pressure of the generated vapour. The exhaust fluid from the motor E passes to a reservoir G and tank H, from which it is returned to the generator by a constantlyworking pump J. A non-return valve W is fitted as shown. The regulating - device comprises a cylinder L in communication with the chamber C, the cylinder having a plunger which is linked to a valve M in the by-pass N. When pressure in the chamber C rises above a predetermined amount, the fluid passing the pump J is returned to the reservoir G.
