Superheating by throttling. - Steam passing from a boiler to a boiling-vat, drying-cylinder, &c. is superheated and dried by wire-drawing at a union joint in the steam-pipe, an internal member B being provided with a central orifice F, the cross-sectional area of which is one-ninth of that of the steam-pipe.
