Abstract
4523. Schulz, P. Feb. 22. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Seat guards.-A band of craped paper is carried in semicircular form round the inner edge of the seat by two pairs of travelling chains. The chains are moved by means of a handle 28, Fig. 1, pulleys 29, and wires which pass into a space 11, Fig. 4, between the two chains of each pair. At the point 34 where the paper passes into the chains, these are held apart by guides 12, 13. As the chains pass on, they close and clamp the paper between them. After leaving a roll 18, the paper passes between semicircular guides 33. A second roll 30, with driving-wire 32 and pulley 31, is located as shown.
