Straps and bands, strengthening. - Leather or other attachÚ cases &c. having the upper edges of the three sides 1 strengthened by a metal strip 2 of channel - section, have the fourth side 6 strengthened on the inner side of its upper edge by a strip 4 of metal, the ends of this strip preferably entering the ends of the other strip and being riveted in place. The ends of the strip 4 may be secured to the sides instead of to the strip 2.
