Abstract

1944. Anderson, N. J., and Anderson Manufacturing Co. Jan. 25. Blowpipe burners.-Oxygen from the pipe 19 passes through the passage 10 and larger passage 9 in the reduced parts of the body 1, drawing in acetylene from the pipe 21, chamber 11, and inclined openings 22. The mixture burns at the outlet of the tip 23, which is removable to permit the use of different types of tip, the extension 7 on which it screws preferably having a rounded end. The extension 2 terminates in a neck 4 and a bevelled shoulder 3 that supports a collar 17, between which and the chamber 11 is a gasket 18<1>. Sediment discharged from the oxygen-pipe is collected in the chamber 14.
