Face and features, improving appearance of. -An appliance for modifying the shape of the nose comprises side wings 1, 1<1>, Fig. 5, hinged at their lower part and adjusted by screw-andnut mechanism 4, 4<1>. 'A piece 6 is hinged to the inner edge of the wing 1 at its upper part, and carries a shutter 9 hinged at 10 and carrying a hinged piece 19 adapted to press upwards on hinged flaps 17, 17<1> carried by the wings. Lateral pieces 12, 12<1>, hinged to the outside edges of the wings serve to hold the apparatus in place. The various hinged members are formed with holes for the passage of cords whereby pressure is applied. In a modification, the part 19 is omitted and the flaps 17, 17<1> are replaced by a perforated plate rigid with one of the side wings. In a further modification, shown in Fig. 3, the side wings are hinged to shutters 14, which are hinged together centrally at 15. Specifications 4161/07 and 18,940/08 are referred to.
