Abstract

29,887. Mackintosh, J. Dec. 23. Internal fittings.-Jars, bottles, canisters, &c. for confectionery are made of unbreakable material such as tin, papier-mÔchÚ, &c., and are provided with hollow transparent bulbiform stoppers C adapted to contain samples of the contents of the receptacles. Each stopper C has a metal collar D which makes a tight joint with a deep seating formed on the neck of the receptacle. The collar D is threaded internally to receive a closure F, Fig. 3, which seats on a washer H, Fig. 2, and makes the chamber in the stopper C air-tight. For transit, the stoppers may be reversed, the bulb of the stopper being placed within the receptacle.
