13,984. Taaffe, H. E. June 8. Sealing bottles &c.- Relates to means for sealing bottles or other vessels to prevent tampering with their contents. The seal consists of two bent glass strips a, b, the shorter legs of which fit round the neck below the rim, the longer legs being adapted to meet and form a level joint between their bevelled ends e. When fitted to the neck, the parts are cemented together, and the vessel cannot then be opened without breaking the seal. A metal disc g is inserted in the cork to facilitate breaking the seal.
