Abstract

28,512. Edwards, P. J. Dec. 7. Cord fastenings.-In bags, satchels, &c. made of paper or other material and provided with means for automatically closing the mouth when the bag is lifted by the handle, a cord C is threaded through two pairs of coincident holes or eyelets A<1>, B<1> in the back of the bag and in the flap B, the holes being in one vertical line when the flap is opened to an upright position. The front of the bag has a cut-away part A<2>. A strengthening-piece A<3> may be provided for the holes A', and the flap may be strengthened by means of a strip D.
