Abstract

The fastening is for closing a bag or case with a flap and consists of two elements, a rigid plate (B) and a cord (C). The plate is fixed to the front (F) of the bag and the cord slides through holes (4) in the plate and can form a handle (C). The cord passes horizontally over the flap (A) and holds it against the front of the bag. The cord is looped (5) at the side of the bag by passing it through eyelets (2). It also fits into notches (3) on either side of the flap.
