[Also in Group XXXII] A golf-bag of round, oval, or D crosssection may be either of rigid material, or comprise top and bottom bands d, Fig. 1, connected together by a backbone of channel shaped strips a and b clamping the edges of a pliable covering material c secured by rivets e to the bands d. Both forms of bag are however provided with. screw operated clamping plates t or other forms of clips which may hold a carrying sling and or components of a golf-bag carry cart (see also Group XXXII). In Fig. 2 a single channel shaped backbone a is employed and longitudinal inner stiffeners x are provided. The backbone may be slightly corrugated.
