Spring wheels with continuous outer rigid ring and metal springs other than helical and volute springs.-In a spring wheel, opposing teeth on the inner and outer rims are combined with circumferential bridge-like springs, the number of projections on the outer rim exceeding those on the inner. In the form shown in Figs. 1 and 2, triangular projections 8 on the inner rim are stayed at their apexes by rollers 9 which bear on the overlapping ends of spring rods 18 coiled about studs 15. The outer teeth 11 are formed on the interior of the sides of the outer rim, and are connected by the studs 15 and additional triangular stays 12 at their apexes. In the form shown in Figs. 5 and 7, the teeth on the inner rim consists of T-shaped members under the arms 21 of which split annular spring bands 22 are held.
