26,823. Howells, J. Nov. 18. Lubricant conveyed by mechanical means.- An axle bearing for colliery trams &c. comprises a casting 1 with a tapered opening 4 to receive a bearing-block 5, which is retained by means of ribs and grooves 9, 10. A lubricating-ring 11, suspended on the axle runs in a groove in the block 4 and dips into an oil trough 3 in the casting 1. Inturned webs 13 prevent the escape of oil when the vehicle is tilted.
