Abstract

25,012. Jones, H. Sefton-, [Oesterreichische Daimler-Motoren Ges.]. Oct. 27. Trolly heads and the like; controlling-arrangements for collectors of the flexible-connexion type used on railless tracks with two overhead conductors. The four-wheeled collector 2 is connected to the vehicle by the cable 5, which is drawn up into a loop 21 and controlled through the rope 17 from a spring drum 15 mounted on the pendulum 14 carried by the collector. The collecting-wheels on each side are insulated from each other by the part 4, and their axles 10 are adjustable in bearings 11. Springs are also provided to maintain the wheels normally in a middle position, but allow adjustment in rounding curves. Guard arms are also provided as described in Specification 27,798/10. The conducting-cables 5 are connected to contact-pieces 6 on the trolly-head adapted to revolve and adjust themselves in metal rings 7, electrically connected to the wheels 2.
