Abstract

22,651. Haworth, E. Sept. 30. Stiffeners for caps &c. consist of a strip of flexible material having its ends joined together by clips so that the size of the hoop is adjustable; one or more similar stiffeners may also be arranged diametrically. The strip A of steel, celluloid, &c. is provided at both ends with a clip B, adapted to embrace the opposite end, and thus provide an adjustment for any size of cap. One or more cross bands C, attached to the strip A by similar sliding clips B, may also be provided. These are preferably adjustable in length, and, where they cross, may be connected by a pin or eyelet.
