Abstract
21,812. Nicholson, A. C. Sept. 20. Cutting and slicing vegetables &c. -Cutter-plates of various kinds, for disk root - cutters, are provided with projections g, Fig. 1, on their rear faces of such a size that, when the plates c are fixed in position, the distance h between the points of the knives and the face of the disk is constant. The disk may also have an outside rim o the: breadth of which is equal to the distance h. In a modification, the edges of the plates care turned down to act as distance-pieces in place of the projections g, and the face of the disk may be provided with bosses or projections m, Fig. 9, instead of, or as well as, the projections g, the distance h, however, remaining constant.
