Utilizing waste india-rubber. - Waste vulcanized rubber is ground by mechanical means, and this process is continued until the rubber is converted into a homogeneous plasma. This plasma may have sulphur or the like added to it, and is then sheeted, preferably by passing through rollers, one of which may be heated to a temperature not exceeding 247‹ F. The sheet is subsequently vulcanized at a temperature of 286-307‹ F. and at a pressure not exceeding 150 atmospheres.
