Spring wheels with continuous outer rigid ring and helical springs.-In wheels of the type in which rods working in coiled springs and connected to the hub operate in a closed chamber containing lubricant, rods 17 pivoted beween lugs formed on a central hub flange pass through circular blocks 19 rotatable in gaps 20 formed in ,an annular flange 9 integral with a disk 2. The outer edge of the disk forms the rim, and a second disk 10 is bolted to the rim and flange. The inner edges of the disks slide between flanged sleeves 26 screwed on the hub, and the interior of the wheel forms a closed space charged with lubricant. A helical spring is placed at each side of the block on each rod, and is fitted between a washer 22 and an adjustable nut 23. The wheel is made rigid by placing an annular block in the space 7 between one disk and the hub.
