Abstract

16,377. Kronenberg, L. July 8. Extincteurs.-A vent valve 8 on the plunger 5 is normally held open by a pivoted stirrup 10, and is closed by a spring 7 when the stirrup is turned out of the way to allow the plunger 5 to be operated to break the acid bottle. Incisions 22, 23 in the stopper 2 and plate 11 respectively co-operate with the valve 8 to permit escape of air when the extincteur is not in use.
