Abstract

14,682. Rosenblum, G. June 17. Letter-sheets.-Relates to letter-sheets with four or more folds, of the kind in which the top fold serves as a closing-flap and the second fold bears the address. The closing-flap 1, Figs. 1 and 7, is gummed and perforated round three sides, and is provided with an additional row of perforations at the upper edge to form an opening-strip a, b. The opening-strip may be provided with a tab, and may be strengthened by a strip of paper attached by casein solution. The address fold 2 is provided with ungummed strips x, x<1>, Fig. 1, or x<o>, x<3>, Fig. 7, the strip x<3> being attached to the sheet by mucilage consisting of casein and chemical substances insoluble in water. The sheets are thus adapted for press copying, since the water-soluble adhesive is confined to the closing-flap. In the form shown in Fig. 7, the strips x<o>, x<3> are folded inwards before the closing-flap 1 is stuck down.
