Abstract

11,954. Walton, F. May 13. Block tyres. India - rubber blocks are separately secured to rings at their sides which interlock with the blocks and the side flanges of the rim. In the form shown, the blocks are arranged in two staggered series, and formed with bases of dovetail section. They are secured by transverse pins C passing through a fixed central ring D/to conical rings D' fitting the sides of the bases of the blocks. The rings are formed' with outwardly-projecting flanges e, which fit under the internal flanges f of the side plates E. Some of the pins C are solid and pass through the plates.
