7722. Child, R. C. March 30. Ink.-Tar containing a considerable proportion of pitch is mixed with powdered shale or anthracite coal to form a printing-ink. Tar products from coke ovens, gas-producers, water or oil gas plant, wood, bones, peat, or coal, pitch from such products thinned with a solvent, natural liquid bitumen, or residues from petroleum refining, are suitable. The usual toners and dryers may be added.
