6054. McCarthy, C. A. March 10. Coupling.-A clamp for use with wire and other ropes consists of a pair of sections A, B which are provided with registering grooves A<2>, B<2> on their inner faces, and on their outer faces with sockets A<4> , B<4> to receive the head D<1> of the bolt D and the nut E respectively, the walls of one of the sockets A<4> forming a wrench seat. The outer faces are also provided with cored out portions A<5>, B<5>, the walls A<6>, B<6> of which form braces for the sockets. One of the sections is formed with bosses B<8> which reinforce the grooves.
