Abstract

5850. Clark, E. J. March 8. Tyre attachments to rims.-Soft rubber flaps 13, Fig. 1, are vulcanized to the edges of the flanged base 12 of a hard rubber tread 1 supported between plates upon a pneumatic cushion 2 of greater width. In addition, as shown in Fig. 3, similar flaps 14 may be secured to the edges of the plates by rings 15 and bear against the sides of the tread. The plates and flanged base may be formed with engaging corrugations 4, for example as described in Specification 3225/10.
