Abstract

1519. Merryweather, J. C. Jan. 20. Multiple-acting piston pumps.-Pumps having three radial cylinders are provided with two trifurcated pipes B, C constituting the suction and delivery passages, which are jointed to three separate valve boxes A. Each member B, C carries a crank-shaft bearing which in the case of the member B is arranged to allow the crankshaft to project. The members B, C may be stiffened by webs, and may be provided with separate or integral air-vessels. The arrangement shown in Fig. 4 facilitates the removal of the valves.
