Abstract

1238. Ross, Sir C. Jan. 18, 1909, [Convention date]. Projectiles.-Relates to projectiles having a hollow point fitted to a hollow recess in the front of the projectile, and consists (1) in making the point with a tubular stem 5 fitting closely within a cylindrical cavity in the projectile 3, and extending the whole length of the cavity as shown in Fig. 2, or nearly so as shown in Fig. 3, and (2) in extending the jacket 2 to lie against the tubular stem 5 as shown in Fig. 2, or to support a shoulder 7 on the point 6 as shown in Fig. 3.
