519. Musgrave, F. W. Jan. 8. Make-ready arrangements.-Relates to apparatus for packing up a box-maker's form in a manner analogous to the "making-ready" in printing- machines. The cutting and creasing knives are assembled in a frame c provided with a sheet-metal b ttom g and hinged to the sides b of a bed a adapted to be reciprocated beneath a pressure cylinder. A sheet of paper h, clamped between the metal sheet g and the bed a, receives an impression of the form when passing under the pressure cylinder. This paper pattern is then backed by pieces of paper as shown to be necessary by the passage of a trial card through the machine. The paper h is folded as shown, and pencil marks x, y are made at the sides to ensure accurate replacement of the paper.
