Axial-flow type.-Relates to impulse turbines of the kind in which the pressure energy of the motive fluid is fractionally converted into kinetic energy by nozzles g, and consists in gradually increasing the dimensions of the blades c, b, c<1> at each stage so as to reduce to a minimum all resistance to free flow, and to avoid spilling.
