Pressure-regulating valves. - In a pressureregulator of the kind in which a valve, such as 16, is balanced by a piston 24 and operated by the reduced pressure acting on a larger piston 22, as shown, the pistons and valve are built up of a stem 18 an integral and recessed valve head 16, a removable disk 26, a doubly flanged sleeve 27, a second doubly flanged sleeve 31, cup washers 30, 34, and a flangenut 35 securing the parts together, as shown. A cover 36 encloses the said parts and also the controlling-spring 44, which is adjusted by a screw 39 secured from tampering by a screwed cap 43. The pistons may work within a detachable liner, and the passage connecting the piston spaces with the reduced pressure outlet may be formed up the centre of the valve spindle 18 instead of in the casing as shown at 25.
