Abstract
18,767. Schilling, J. Aug. 14, 1908, [Convention date]. Aerostats.-Motor-driven air-ships &c. have the gas losses in the inflatable ballonets within the main aerostats compensated for by the introduction of the exhaust gases of the motor, either before or after cooling. The gases are preferably freed from the heavier constituents, such as tarry substances, carbon dioxide, and water-vapour, by any wellknown method, for example by passing them through a layer of lime.
