Abstract
18,464. Ruadlof, E. A. Aug. 14, 1908, [Convention date]. Tappet-actuated pumps; stroke and speed, varying. - Pumps for fuel and other liquids are mounted so that they may be adjusted relatively to the actuating- mechanism for varying their strokes. Fig. 1 shows the pump b mounted upon a pivoted, adjustable disk a. It is driven through a bell-crank h, pivoted on the disk a and a hit- and-miss device d. Instead of a disk a, a plate adjustable horizontally, or vertically, or both, by hand or by means of a governor, may be used. The length of the link k may also be adjustable.
