Direct air-pressure apparatus, non-automatic. -A device for use in emptying vessels by pressure consists of a casing b, Figs. 1 and 2, with air and liquid passages f, g, and a valve body d having a passage l leading into a pipe k reaching to the bottom of the vessel, and a groove m communicating by a transverse passage r with an annular passage n surrounding the tube k. Pipes p, q are connected as shown, and one of them is provided with a safety-valve. For transport purposes, the pipes p, q are removed, and closing caps h, o are secured in place.
