17,505. Loncaster, J. W., and Fleming, W. J. July 28. Pulley-blocks. - In gallows blocks for fishing- vessels, the sheave C is mounted on a hollow sleeve A fixed to the spindle B. The sleeve is provided with passages D to hold lubricant, ducts F containing leather pulp leading from the lubricant cavities to the surface of the sleeve. Pockets D<1> for holding grease are formed in the surface of the sleeve in addition to the oil passages. A flange G is formed at one end of the sleeve, a plate K being fixed on the spindle at the other end of the sleeve to close the lubricant passages. One or more holes H<1> in the flange G, normally closed by a screw, serve for charging lubricant. Instead of the sleeve A, the spindle B may be formed with an enlarged part constructed with oil passages.
