Weather-excluders.-A weather-excluding bar D, .loosely supported on the sill A of a casement window or door by hooked plates 13, is protected when the casement is open by a feather E projecting from the sill, and is tilted up into a groove under the lower rail of the casement hy a hooked projection of a recessed plate 21 which extends across the groove in the casement rail. The ends of the bar are held'in brackets 17 on the frame, and a rabbet 18 on the casement bears against the feather E on the sill when the casement is closed.
