Abstract
13,784. Henderson, W. S., [Wilson, J. B.]. June 11. Cutting and slicing vegetables &c.-In a machine for s l i c i n g fruit, tobacco, suet, vegetables, &c., the material is fed through an opening a<2>, Fig. 3, furnished with a guard or shield b, on a fixed disk a against a rotating disk e, which carries a knife or cutter d with cutting-edges d<1>, Fig. 4. The knife is mounted upon a boss c and has lugs d<2> which engage lugs e<1> on the disk e. The thickness of the slice is regulated by a screw g, which holds the disk e against a spring f by means of a washer h. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 18,641/98, [Class 28, Cooking &c.].
