Field carriages.-Relates to gun-carriages which have a divided trail, as described in Specification 16,980/08, and consists in the substitution of adjustable screw supports for the frame A in place of the cross-bar of the previous construction. In one form, the frame A rests, as shown in Figs. 1 and 2, upon two adjustable screws V, V<1> mounted in the two parts B, B' of the trail. In a modification, one screw is mounted in one trail beam, and the second screw is carried by the frame A and bears upon the top surface of the other trail beam. In a further modification, shown in Fig. 4, a lever V is pivoted to the underside of the frame A, and is supported at one extremity by the trail beam B<1> and at the other extremity rests upon the screw V in the beam B.
